Name: Park Seung-Hae Age: 24 Sex: Male Profession: Various odd jobs, currently works in the Nautilus hatcheries Location: The Hives Affiliations: Lower-class, Brainstorm, Nautilus Fisheries Disposition: Optimistic, talkative, level-headed
Despite having very little for himself or his siblings during childhood, Park Seung-Hae grew into a kindhearted, humble, and optimistic young adult. Living in the Hives with his siblings and parents has proven to be a crowded, uncomfortable experience, but he has always been family-oriented, so he doesn't mind the closed space as much as one would assume.
Although he has been unable to hold a steady job for the past few years, he tries to help his parents out as much as he can, working various odd jobs throughout the week to make ends meet for his family. As the eldest of five, he knows his way around conflict and often serves as the mediator and voice of reason whenever his younger brothers start squabbling. Since he has spent so much time co-parenting with his mother and father, he’s grown into quite the talented and adaptable household chef, taking pride in experimenting with different flavors and recipe substitutions when his family cannot afford proper ingredients. He also has an incredible sweet tooth and is a sucker for a vending machine stocked with snacks.
Seung-Hae stands at around six feet tall, with dark, shaggy hair and dark eyes. He’s in rather good shape thanks to the amount of physical labor side jobs he’s had in the past. Currently, though, he’s been working in the hatcheries in the lower floors of the nautilus fisheries. He’s not a huge fan of this particular job since it leaves him reeking of fish, but if it helps his parents provide for his siblings, he’s willing to swallow his pride and take one for the team. He’s considered switching into the world of AR clothing advertisement, but he’s not sure if he’s willing to turn one of his passions—the AR experience—into something to capitalize on for fear of growing to hate it.
What money he doesn’t put towards his family, he spends on AR supplies and geekery. Seung-Hae is a huge fan of the blossoming AR technology, and alongside a few of his close friends, often plays games of LazAR Tag or virtual LARPing. While it takes several long, seemingly endless months of work to save up enough money for even a single AR QR patch, Seung-Hae deems the financial sacrifice a worthy one simply because it is one of the few pleasures he can access from his lower-class standing. In his dreams, he has enough money to afford a virtual companion—a secret desire of his he guards aggressively to deter any harassment from his friends.
